My neighbourhood is full of cats. Some are mean and scary, like Half-Cat. Others are friendly but mostly absent, like Jolene the Cowgirl. A couple of them hang out on our porch and get adopted by my soft-hearted roommates.
Mordecai was the first one. He used to have the biggest damn balls you’ve ever seen, before he Visited the Vet.
Back Alley Sally is tiny, so it wasn’t immediately obvious she was pregnant. She was scheduled to be spayed, but a few nights before she quietly gave birth to three kittens.
